Roadside assistance mechanic

Who are we?

Van Eijck Groep B.V. is one of the top 3 largest salvage companies in the Netherlands and hee; multiple branches both in the Netherlands and internationally within Europe. Van Eijck provides roadside assistance, repatriation and replacement transportation for various customers. Together with more than 180 colleagues, we ensure that private individuals can get back on the road, and we also work for companies such as the police, emergency centers, insurance companies, leasing companies, dealers and the Department of Public Works.

Your role

As a roadside assistance mechanic, you are passionate about solving technical malfunctions as quickly as possible. It is also important that you have communication skills and can reassure people when necessary and give them confidence in your knowledge and ability. You are flexible in your working hours and do not mind working evenings and weekends as needed. All this to get as many people on their feet as quickly as possible. The position of roadside assistance technician is an independent and flexible position. You don’t know in advance how your day will go, and you’re on the road a lot from roadside assistance to roadside assistance in your own roadside assistance van.

Knowledge and skills:

Training

At least MBO level 2 in the direction of automotive engineering
Diploma in roadside assistance
Driving license B

Not mandatory but nice:

Communication Training
Revi (Working safely along the highway)

Knowledge and experience

Knowledge of electric vehicles (To a certain extent)
Knowledge of computerized technology in the car
Experience in automotive engineering with various car brands
Experience in service delivery and customer contact
